Participation. The IOP requires engagement in outpatient programming 3-5 days per week for 2-3 hours per day, or 6-15 hours per week. The schedule is determined by the treatment needs associated with the diagnosis.
School support if needed. Teens may require academic support while enrolled in the IOP. Tutors coordinate lesson plans with the teen’s school academic counselor as needed.

These may include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution focused therapy, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, and integrated body psychotherapy.
One family therapy session or parent coach session per week. Family involvement is integral to the teenager’s progress. Family members attend therapy sessions as well as family support group weekly.
Group therapy sessions. Adolescents are highly receptive to working in groups, which can provide peer support, and a sense that they are not alone. Group therapy may include DBT group, process group, and positive psychology commitment group.
Case management. As the teen progresses, a case manager will coordinate their treatment needs. Case management helps administer care plans, medication, and sets up appointments with service providers.
