Sondra graduated with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Southern California University of Health Sciences. She earned her undergraduate degree from UC Irvine and served as a mentor for several years with the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Sondra was the Director of Health Coaches at MyLife research study leading a team of 15 health coaches who utilized motivational interview techniques to help promote positive changes. The study helped overweight patients at risk for lifestyle related diseases lead healthier lives, and she co-authored a scientific journal article about her findings that was published in January, 2021. Sondra has clinical experience in Adolescent Behavioral Health, Critical Care, Hematology & Oncology and Integrative Health. She was the recipient of the CAPA Foundation James Delaney Scholarship for PA students with a passion for exceptional patient care, volunteer leadership, and advocacy. Sondra continues to be a champion for health equity within the community and an advocate of diversity and inclusion for all.
