Dr. Rex has served numerous and diverse populations including the LGBT Center in Los Angeles, Tarzana Treatment Centers (youth track), Encino Community Clinic, and an array of residential treatment centers for teenagers and their families. He is one of the leading drama group facilitators for young people in intensive outpatient (IOP), partial hospitalization (PHP) and residential treatment centers (RTC) in Los Angeles, having led in excess of 4000 groups to date. With a background as a professional actor and acting teacher for teenagers since 1996 in both Australia and The United States, combined with his formal studies in psychology at The University of California Los Angeles and Pepperdine University, Dr. Rex’s approach within the mental health profession is both unique and dynamic. Dr. Rex’s groups serve individuals and their families who are experiencing a vast array of mental and behavioral health concerns. He is proud to be a primary family therapist at BNI Treatment Centers and loves working with the families and youth.
Dr. Rex earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University in 2022, a Masters in Psychology from Pepperdine (2018), and a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a Theatre minor from UCLA (2016).
