Cynthia Mohd is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Clinical Professional Counselor. She holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy Emphasis in Clinical Psychology (Professional Clinical Counseling) program from Brandman University. Cynthia’s experience includes working in DMH Mental health setting that specializes in trauma and child abuse. She also has experience working with adults, adolescents, and children. Cynthia has been trained in a range of modalities as no single approach is the right one for every individual. She has been utilizing skills from treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Seeking Safety, Managing and Adapting and Motivational Interviewing. Cynthia helps clients, who include children, adults and families, to find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole and safe. Cynthia will bring her knowledge and background in trauma and other mental health disorders to work as a team in helping the patients in this facility towards a healthy recovery.
